Efe Poturoglu – Saltzman & Evinch, PLLC

Efe Poturoglu is a first generation Turkish American and an expert in U.S. immigration law.

Mr. Poturoglu focuses on business and family immigration matters including all types of temporary visas (such as H-1B, H-2B, L-1, E-2, O and R visas) as well as employment and family based permanent residence (such as EB-1 extraordinary ability immigrants and multinational managers, EB-2 and EB-3 professionals, and EB-2 National Interest Waiver green card cases).

Mr. Poturoglu also advises corporate clients with the transfer of executives and employees to the United States. He has successfully represented foreign sovereigns and high-profile international companies employing foreign workers in various industries including: IT/technology, aviation, construction, engineering, hospitality, healthcare, religious affairs, education and not-for-profit.

Mr Poturoglu also serves as outside general counsel to many charitable/religious organizations and non-profit entities affiliated with foreign governments. He handles a variety of business/corporate matters including setting up branch offices and subsidiaries for international companies companies/organizations in the United States.

Mr. Poturoglu frequently engages in public speaking on immigration issues to educational and business organizations throughout the United States and Turkey. He regularly appears on TV as a legal expert on business and family immigration matters. He is frequently referred to as a primary source by print and online media regarding developments in immigration law. Mr. Poturoglu is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the 2013 Power Player of the Year Award in Immigration Law Category by SmartCEO Magazine, and the 2015 Lawyer of the Year Award by the American Turkish Association of Washington, DC.

Mr. Poturoglu received his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2003 where he was a member of the Georgetown Journal of International Law. He received his undergraduate degree in International Business from the University of Denver in 2000.
