In 1990 Ayhan opened the Fish Kebab restaurant across the street in a converted bank building. Fish Kebab introduced Grilled Whole Fish to Long Island and still wins rave reviews for its Market Fresh Fish dishes.

Ayhan’s Mediterranean Marketplace & Gourmet Cafe completes the trio of Ayhan’s restaurants on the corner of Main Street and Shore Road. The Marketplace is also the “brick and mortar” basis for Ayhan’s Famous .com which enables customers to ship Mediterranean foods and books to anywhere in the USA. These products play an essential role in Ayhan’s 28 Day Mediterranean Diet, The Real Mediterranean Diet©, which was created by Ayhan with the help of dietitians and has been endorsed by doctors.

In recent years Ayhan opened popular Shish Kebab restaurants in Plainview, Baldwin, Rockville Centre and Westbury. And in 2013, Ayhan proudly announced the opening of Ayhan’s Shish Kebab in East Meadow and Great Neck.
