Alpaslan “Alp” Basaran

Alpaslan “Alp” Basaran is a corporate associate in the New York office of Pepper Hamilton LLP.

Mr. Basaran focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. He has represented public and private companies, as well as private equity firms, in a variety of U.S. and international transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, auctions, investments, joint ventures, tender offers, spin-offs, reorganizations and financings.  He has also advised companies on shareholder activism, takeover preparedness, securities law compliance and corporate governance matters.

A native speaker of Turkish and English, Mr. Basaran is actively involved in the Turkey Practice and is a frequent speaker on U.S.-Turkey relations and cross-border business and investment opportunities. Mr. Basaran also has extensive transactional experience in the health care and life sciences industries and is a member of the Health Sciences Department.

Prior to joining Pepper Hamilton LLP in 2017, Mr. Basaran was an associate in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York.
